Good afternoon Golfers,
Wow Christmas is fast approaching... this is when we all scratch our heads and wonder where the year has gone (again!). This is a great time of year to reflect on how has your season been, have you played the golf you wanted to? If not, what are you going to do to make sure next year is better, and what can we do to help?. We have big plans for our teaching services next season, aimed to improve our performance and service. I am sure you'll all be pleased with new packages and the new services we will be offering. Watch this space!
If you are struggling with Christmas presents we have put together some £25 and £50 Christmas Golf hampers which have a great mix of presents, including winter accessories, golf balls, lessons and more. A great present for yourself or others! Don't forget the final date for personalised Titleist golf ball offer finishes on the 12th December, these can be ordered directly through our website or in store.
The Christmas Competitions are now here starting today with the seniors and Ladies Greensomes event, with more at the weekend and next week. This weekend and next we will be serving mulled wine and mince pies to warm you up before or after your game, it will be great to share a Christmas drink to two with you all.
This we are going to talk about improving your golf over the winter months. We can improve our golf without using a golf club and from the comfort of your home.
Grab a towel and place it under both arm pits. Now make your setup as if you were holding a club. From here I want you to make a turn back and through maintaining the towel under your arms.
As you do this notice your weight moving from back foot to front foot as you make your turn. Be careful to make sure that you are always in balance whilst you do this. A good way to feel your balance is to take your shoes and socks of so that you can feel your feet gripping the ground.
Start of slowly and build up the speed so that you can make a powerful pivot to a finish position. The more you can do this the better your pivot, balance will become resulting in more consistent results!! Please note over the Christmas period lesson times will be a little more limited than normal.
Please contact us to book early and to ensure you can get in. Many thanks for your understanding. The shop hours will remain the same 8am-4pm, apart from Christmas Day and Boxing Day when we are closed.
