Good afternoon Golfers
We hope everyone is well and many thanks for taking the time to read this week’s newsletter. What a difference a couple of weeks make- signs and forecasts of a 6 week heat wave to flash floods! The change in weather makes it difficult to play consistent golf as conditions are always changing and it can't be easy for Kevin and his team either. Adam and I think they are doing a great job and the course is in great condition considering what weather they have had thrown at them.
Six members and I travel to Scotland on Monday for 6 days of golf. We are having a game at our Twinned course Musselburgh. PMGC members can enjoy free golf at this course using our reciprocal arrangement. I can't remember the last time I played 6 days on the trot so hope the weather is kind to us! Lessons and custom fit sessions are still available all week- please contact us to book.
Places are filling quickly for our Pro’s Away Day at Belton Park- contact us to book your place either by calling the shop on 01733 380489 or click here. Open to all members of PMGC. It promises to be a great day out.
What a win for Rory at Wentworth- a great performance on Sunday saw him clinch his first BMW PGA Championship coming from 7 behind on the final day. He started on day 1 at the Memorial Tournament at Murifield Village with a score of 9under 63- including a double bogey with a wedge in his hand on the 14th.

Doing the same thing and expecting different results?
If you are struggling with your game- book a lesson, practice or try some different equipment. To book your lesson click here, lets see how we can improve your game.
Struggling to get the ball to start on line?
A simple practise tip of you are struggling to start the ball on line is to put an alignment stick in the ground 6 feet in front of you in at the place you don't want to start it. For example if you have been hitting pull shots for a right handed golfer you would put the stick in the ground to the left and the opposite for a left handed player. This will encourage you to help change the direction of the swing. Which is a hard feeling to create on your own- it will also allow you to see any tendencies you have and improve your consistency.
Shots that start straighter are less likely to get you in trouble. If you find you are curving the ball one way too much on the course try using a 3/5 wood to keep the ball in play and come in to book a lesson to help straighten your ball flight.
