Hello everyone,

Today seems to be a day to batten down the hatches and hope that storm Doris doesn't cause to much distribution on the golf course. Whilst the rest of us are battling the strong winds here, Andy, Alan accompanied by Vice Captain Graham Marshall and Paul Waterfield are sunning themselves in the opening round of the Northamptonshire PGA Overseas pro-am, we wish them all the best over the next few days on the Old Course and the Victoria Course at Vilamoura.




The builders are now well on their way to completing the foundations and the flooring. We are now looking forward to seeing the walls start to go up in the coming days. The studio cannot come soon enough when the weather is like today! 




Stephen and his staff have nearly completed the winter programme. Bunkers at 18 and 15 will be in play Mid-March. Tees are all relayed, levelled and ready for the season, they just have a few steps to complete. The remaining work will be to pathways and existing bunkers.

With the season just around the corner it's time to ask yourself what are my goals for 2017? Lower your handicap? Shoot your BEST EVER SCORE? Hit the ball further? Finally get rid of your Slice? Hole more putts? 

Whatever your goals we are here to help you achieve them. So in March we are putting on some group coaching to help you kick start your 2017. Plus we are putting on a long game clinic and a short game clinic, during these sessions we will be discussing all aspects of the topic and explaining and demonstrating ways to overcome common mistakes, plus answering any questions you may have. These clinics are Free of charge and are open to anyone, so please see the dates below. 

• March 1st - Ladies Group coaching 9.00am-10.00am - £7.50 per person, maximum six people. 
• March 8th - Long Game Clinic, 10.00am-11.30am. FOC, open to everyone. 
• March 10th - Ladies Group coaching 9.00am-10.00am - £7.50 per person, maximum six people. 
• March 10th - Fix your Slice, 2.30pm-4.00pm - £20 per person, maximum four people.
• March 14th - Ladies Group coaching 2.00pm-3.00pm - £7.50 per person, maximum six people.
• March 15th - Short Game Clinic, 10.00am-11.30am. FOC, open to everyone.
• March 17th - Fix Your Short Game Course, 2.30pm-4.00pm - £20 per person, maximum four people.

Junior Order of Merit 

Hamish Leeds has taken an early lead with two of our up and coming girls close behind with Emily Horsted currently second and Shivani Karthikeyan third. 

Junior Winter Eclectic 

Jacob Williams continues to stretch his lead and is now down to a great score of nett 55, Emily Horsted is up to second with nett 60.5 

As you can see from the above, the Milton Girls are continuing to improve really well and keep our strong boys squad on their toes. It's great to report we have been able to enter 8 Milton girls into the County Girls Pairs competition this year including our newest recruit 9 year old Evie Weatherbed. Good luck girls, go and do Milton proud! 

The junior winter coaching series has been a great success with 16-20 juniors attending every session - very enjoyable and the juniors all have lots to work on! Summer coaching starts on Saturday 8th April and we have sessions for beginner's right through to our most experienced juniors - just call in to the pro shop to book on to the right session.
