Good afternoon golfers, I hope you are all well and enjoying some good golf. The world best players are competing at the Club de Golf Chapultepec, Mexico, and this week for the World Golf Championships. The course which is at 7,300 feet above sea level, is designed to reward accuracy and distance control rather than raw power, Dustin Johnson is said to be hitting his pitching wedge 180 yards this week! It's going to be interesting viewing, with players having to take the altitude into the equation when selecting their clubs.




Portugal Pro-Am 

Graham, Paul, Alan and I were in Portugal last week for the Northants PGA Overseas Pro-Am. We all had a great week playing on some on fantastic courses. I managed to finish 4th in the individual, the highlight being a round of -5 in the third round and the low point/s being 3 too many trebles! 

After a final round surge, we got off the bottom of the leaderboard and eventually finished 13th in the team event- if a few more putts could have dropped it would have been a different story!

The studio build is coming on well with the brick work being well underway, the roof trusses should arrive next week and the external work (providing the weather is kind!) should be completed in the coming weeks. 




This is the exciting time of the year when all of the spring summer ranges start to arrive (doesn't feel very spring like but that'll soon change!), new ranges from FootJoy, Motocaddy and Under Armour have arrived this week with more from Galvin, Skechers, Glenmuir and Daily arriving in the coming weeks.
