Good afternoon golfers,
Is Summer Coming?
It's been a cold week so far with the weather feeling more like the middle of winter rather than the end of April. Fingers crossed it picks up for the weekend. On Saturday we are hosting the Northamptonshire Higgs Bowl which is one of the County's premier trophies. There are quite a few Milton members competing. Play well and have a great day!
Congratulations to Ryan Evans from Wellingborough for winning for the first time on the Challenge Tour last week at the Turkish Airlines Challenge at Gloria Golf Club. Ryan, who last played at Milton a couple of weeks ago, won the tournament by four shots. It is always great to see Northamptonshire players doing well.

Junior Report
Well done to the PMGC Juniors on a good win in the Cambridgeshire Friendly Cup at home against Bourn Golf Club on Saturday, progressing us to the semi finals in our defence of the trophy. Excellent wins for Morgan Cresswell, Kai Raymond, Adam O'Brien and "super sub" Michael Wood.
Bad luck to the young PMGC 'C' Team who travelled to Costessey Park in Norwich in the Royal British Legion Knockout. On a tough track, Will Smith and Rylan Thomas had a good 1 up win. Lisa Johnston and Emily Horsted battled all the way round, but a narrow loss meant we lost 2 down overall on aggregate holes. Our 'A' and 'B' Teams play South Kyme and Greetham in this competition in the next few weeks. Finally, congratulations to rising star Shivani Karthikeyan on winning the Guy Hassall family foursomes with Dad Karthik. 13 year old Shivani has only really been playing seriously for 9 months and already has reduced her handicap from 54 to 35. We predict many more successes in the years to come!

Studio Nearing Completion
The studio is coming on well with the scaffolding down and internal works completed. Orchard builders should be handing the building over at the end of this week. With the installation of the simulator booked for the 22nd May, it won't be long until we are open.
There will still be a few bits to be completed once the simulator is installed and we anticipate opening in the early part of June! The room will also include a putting area with the 'green' to be laid next week.
I was at Odyssey headquarters on Wednesday (see photo) for some custom fitting training. When the studio opens we will have the whole Odyssey range for custom fitting available using Sam putt lab! In preparation of booking your putter custom fitting, click here to view Odyssey's putter range.
