Studio News- Opening Week Commencing 5th June

The studio is progressing well and by the end of the week the flooring, decorating and putting area should be complete! We have also taken delivery of the new Scotty Cameron demo range which is available for fitting and demo. We will also have the Odyssey range available once the studio opens! 

We are pleased to announce the studio will be opening week commencing 5th June. Watch this space for opening week events, but we have a few pre-book lesson spaces available for the opening week, which are 1 hour slots on a first come first served basis.

Another Busy And Successful Week For The Juniors

"Well done Rajeev Rajani on a fantastic score of nett 68 winning the Junior medal and returning Sunday's best score from all who battled round in difficult conditions on Sunday. Well done also to Charlie Armitage securing the first slot in the Junior Pro-am team in August with a nett 69, reducing his handicap to 8. 

Our junior A team lost to the last putt on the last green against a long hitting South Kyme team on Saturday in the RBL knockout, but it was a good game which could have gone either way if one more putt had gone in. 

On Saturday Milton hosted Northamptonshire Under 12s and 14s against Cambridgeshire and there was some tremendous young talent on display. It speaks volumes that 6 of the 24 participants were Milton juniors (4 playing for Northants and 2 for Cambs). Congratulations to Kai Raymond, Harry Smith, Jacob Williams, Adam O'Brien, Oliver Brown and Rylan Thomas who all won at least half a point in their matches and special mention to our two 11 year old pocket rockets Harry and Kai who both won two matches out of two. 

This week we held the first of the summer's Tuesday Rookie Nights (see photo) on the driving range academy course: 

1st: Esha Araf - 22 
2nd: Isaac Hedger - 24 
3rd: Maliha Mirza - 26 

It's great that we have this facility for the juniors. Thanks to the Board for allowing it to be used on a Tuesday evening and a big thank you to Stephen and team for keeping it in such good condition. If you haven't played it have a go on a Tuesday evening - and you will see how good the scores above really are!

Finally a little request for help. Thanks to some extremely generous sponsors we are able to fund all of the junior events we have - but if any members have some unwanted sleeves of balls or old nearest the pin type prizes kicking around the back of the garage, we would really welcome them to use as academy prizes to extend the prize tables for our academy get together. If you have something you think is suitable please drop them in to the office or leave behind the bar for me. They will be really appreciated by our youngsters".
