Good afternoon golfers, we hope everyone is okay and enjoying the sunshine.
Captain's Day on Saturday went very well with the first tee being booked from 7am-5pm with people joining in on the day from all age ranges of the club. The atmosphere here was great and we are pleased everyone seemed to be having a great time.
The Club Captain Keith Worth sent the following email to be used in our newsletter:
“I very much hope you all enjoyed Captain's Week and played some great golf and above all had some fun.. Congratulations to the Captains Day Overall Winner John Crabtree and to all prize winners on the day and over the week.
I want to say a big thank you to you all for taking part during the week and on Captains Day and for digging deep into your pockets in supporting my Captains Charity East Anglian Air Ambulance.
Thanks must go to you Andy and Adam the Milton Pro’s for arranging to obtain dozens of balls from Srixon and for you all in donating even more cash.
I must thank all of my helpers who worked tirelessly on the day in supplying food and drinks and thank you all for supporting me since the day would not have happened without you all playing and helping.
By the time you read this I will no doubt be back from our Mixed Weekend away at Forest Pines and looking forward to the Captains Junior Competition on July 29th.

The Captain and Adam played the first Captain Pro match of the year last Friday- losing 3 and 2 to Alex Salam and Brent Joyce. Adam was -5 when they shook hands! Brent has been having a good season and I’m certain his handicap will continue to come down.
