The third day took us to Champ de Bataille, just over an hour from Deauville and a hilly forest course where Dave Martin amassed an impressive 35-points, closely followed by Keith Foreman and Neil Berryman. Day-4 was hosted at the close-by St Julien course where the irrepressible Keith Foreman and Ian Smith hit 43 better-ball points.Day five started with an early departure from our hotel of 4-nights, across to Belle Dune where Chris Ellis won with an impressive 36-points on a very windy but sunny day. After all of the five rounds, our champion of the week was Graham Marshall with 181 points, Steve Knight was second overall and winner of Div. 1 (below 12 handicap) on 173, then Pete Thompson a fine third with 170.However, it wasn’t all about the golf! There was much banter and good humor, as well as incredible generosity with over £1,300 donated to Little Miracles by way of fines and returned winnings. A testament to the spirit of the tour and the enjoyment had by us all over the five days. My sincere thanks to everyone that travelled.
