Most of you won’t know but this week Adam and I reached a milestone at the club as on Wednesday it was the start of our third year as joint Head Pro’s! I’d like to say thank you to all of you on behalf of Adam and I for all of your help and advice. We look forward to many more years at PMGC, and you can be sure we will keep working hard to ensure you receive the best possible service and experience possible. I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome Alex Salam back to the Pro Shop team, there are now four A’s to confuse everyone!

New in 
We are pleased to tell you all we are now a Mizuno DNA fitting centre, we have the whole Mizuno range available for custom fitting. Mizuno are currently the only brand that offer no upcharge for any shafts or grips when they custom fit. We are both really pleased to have this manufacturer in at PMGC as it is the first time we have stocked it.
We have had a delivery of some new Glenmuir men’s and ladies clothing, including some new club logo items. Hopefully this will be out in the shop by the weekend...time permitting!
Finally we have had a big delivery of the new PMGC headcovers, including drivers, fairways, hybrids and two types of putter covers in a selection of colours.
Callaway Club Fitting Day
Unfortunately due to the weather our Callaway Club Fitting Day had to be cancelled on Tuesday after just one fit, however we have managed to rearrange it for Tuesday, 21 April. Everyone who had an appointment cancelled will have one booked for the same time on the new date. If anyone would like to book an appointment please contact us.
We still have some appointments for the Titleist Club Fitting day on Friday, 24 April 2pm-6pm, contact us to book.

With The Masters only 5 days away, we are going to see if Rory McIlroy can complete the Grand Slam of Major Championships. The pressure is going to be on. If Rory is going to have a chance to win, he is going to need to stick to his pre-shot routine and not get distracted.
Pre-shot routine is what all the pros rely on under pressure. So what do the pros do in their pre-shot routine?
Firstly decide what shot the situation requires and select the club. Then, stand behind the ball, have a practice swing just like the shot you are about hit. Then standing behind the ball, visualise the exact shot you are trying to hit and see the ball land on your target. Now it is time to fully commit to the shot and let it go. The key to any pre-shot routine is to have the same rhythm as you do on every shot, it's like you have a beat in your head as you go through your routine, and sticking to this rhythm is the key under pressure!
If you try this on the last few holes when you have a good score going, this will give you the best chance of finishing the round or tournament the way you would like. Watch the pros on Sunday to see who sticks to their routine and who doesn't.
