Greetings golfers, many thanks for taking the time to read this weeks newsletter. It's been a mixed bag of weather this week but there has been plenty of golf played each day.
Pro Am
It was the PMGC Northants winter series Pro Am on Wednesday, on a day where we had it all - hail, sun, wind and rain. The course was in great condition but sadly both of our games were not! We both had rounds of 76 (+5) to finish tied 5th. It was a tough day and this was reflected in the scoring. Bryn Morris shot 73 (+2) to win the professional individual, and the team event was won with a score of -9 (best two from four). Kevin and his staff set the course up fantastically well and the feedback we received was all very positive. We will keep practicing and working on our games ready for our upcoming events!

Tip of the week
You may have or know people who've had a golf MOT yourself in the last few weeks. Following these sessions we have noticed a recurring theme - people are using clubs with grips that are not fit for play. If your grips are worn, shiny or cracked get them replaced or at least give them a clean with some hot soapy water. Gripping the club too tightly (which is what happens when they are worn) effects club head speed, accuracy and feel. Golf is difficult enough without having equipment which holds you back!
With the golf season now here, if you are struggling with any area of your game do something about it. Contact us to book a lesson or commit to improving your golf by having a course of 6 lessons for the price of 5. This package can also include a 6 hole playing lesson, click here for more information.
Group Coaching
We are going to be running a mix of group coaching sessions in the next few months. Including sessions after work, ladies, seniors, fix your slice class, short game clinics and more. Watch this space for more information!
Junior Coaching
This season's junior coaching starts on the 19th April consisting of two classes. The first will be for complete newcomers to the game and will be free of charge from 12-1pm. The second class will be from 1.15-2.15pm for the juniors who have already attended coaching at PMGC. These will cost £7.50 for each session or £50 for the 10 sessions. We will be using the Junior passport programme - which will give the opportunity for parents and players to track their progress online, gain certificates for performance and the opportunity to learn the great game in a safe and fun environment. If you would like anymore information or would like to register for these sessions please contact us or download a form on the Clubs website.
