One of the best things about the game of golf is how we get a whole variety of holes to play between 3, 4, and par 5 holes. But which is your favourite to play?

For a lot of golfers, they would say they prefer the hole that shows off the best parts of their game.

Long hitters love a par-5 as it allows them the opportunity to go for the green in two, and if successful have an eagle or solid birdie chance on the green. Those who get on well with their irons and always hit them accurately get on well with par-3s as they have more confidence hitting into the green straight away.

However, we all that one Achilles heel that feels like the worst part of our game, be it driving, chipping, or putting, and the structure of each hole tests each aspect of our performance.

The latest golf clubs from Mizuno are absolute pinnacle of golfing tech. Today we want to give you illustrate for you how the tech in the latest Mizuno Pro irons has been constructed to help you approach the green better regardless of the kind of hole you’re playing.

Par-3s

When we ask people what the most iconic hole in golf are, the answers are usually famous par-3s. The 12th hole at Augusta National and the 17th hole at TPC Sawgrass instantly come to mind as recognizable yet challenging par-3s.

On the scorecard, a par-3 sounds very straightforward, just an iron shot into the green and two putts for par. The reality is however these tee shots can be incredibly daunting when faced with tricky winds and sloping hills, not to mention bunker traps and bodies of water.

What’s most daunting about a par-3 is invariably how your tee shot is paramount to ensuring your success. You therefore need to be super accurate in order to land your initial strike on the green. These holes may look birdie-able, but if you miss the green you can quickly build up a high score.

Striking the ball accurately is all about approaching your shots with confidence and consistency, and you’ll feel that each time you hit the Pro 241 iron. Mizuno has forged this club from a single piece of steel, giving it a remarkably unique feel. The mass within the clubhead has been positioned to give you a soft sensation at impact too. You’ll find this iron reassuringly buttery-smooth to strike with.

Par-4s

While Par-4 holes pop up the most on golf courses, they’re all unique holes built to present their own series of challenges and hazards. Not unlike a Par-3, you want to hit the ideal target with your first shot, that in this scenario being sitting pretty in the middle of the fairway.

Once you’re nicely in the fairway, it’s crucial to strike your approach shot just right to land safely on the green. Par-4s all vary in length, some can be 300 yards in length while longer holes can be just about double that distance.

You’ll therefore need an iron that offers excellent power and stability, and the Pro 241 will give you exactly that. This iron has been designed to include a more obvious tapering on the upper blade portion of the clubhead. This alteration allows for an ideal launch trajectory throughout the set. Whichever iron you reach for, you can rest assured it will perform exactly as you’d like it to.

Par-5s

You may be feeling elated knowing you have a par 5 coming up and the prospect of a solid birdie opportunity. For others it might feel like a bit of a slog trying to get onto the green.

In order to get yourself onto the green with a birdie putt, you’re going to need to be hitting your approach shots with plenty of power and precision.

The Pro 241 irons promote excellent accuracy on your strikes in several ways. The top-line has been refined and looks stunning when you’re standing over the ball, giving you a natural confidence boost. The bounce angle has also been increased in both the long irons and scoring irons to enable a better turf interaction. These factors combined will have you hitting the ball just right.
